We have Vince Hunt and Tony Ezmond from the Awesome Comics Podcast on for a chat this episode. Vince is the Creator of The Red Mask from Mar s and Tony has reviewed comics for Down The Tubes and Never Iron Anything. Along with the third host of the podcast Dan Butcher and artist Nick Prolix they have created the Awesome Comic, an anthology of stories. Issue one is out now. The boys discuss how the podcast came to be as well as the creation of the comic and the ideas behind it. We also review the comic and give our thoughts on it.

We also review the awesome Kill or Be Killed Volume Three and Artist Angst, a series of short funny stories about creating comics, created by Kev Brett. We talk about the oncoming comic con Macc Pow run by Marc Jackson which we will be attending. The event will be held in Macclesfield on June 23rd 2018.

Mike takes things all valentine as we release this on Valentines Day and looks at comic characters love stories across the whole comic world. Pete takes an episode off as he is busy working away on his comic Copperopolis.

A different episode this time as rather than interviewing a creator we pick Pete Taylors brains on how to create a comic. We start from the beginning with thinking up ideas to writing and then drawing the comic. Finally we finish with what many creators believe is the hardest part and promotion. This was discussed to help us in our journey of creating our own comic but we hope it helps others as well.

We review Square #16 Summer Dairies by Ian M which as it says is a day to day comic of Ian’s life. We also look at The Smell of Starving Boys by Frederik Peters and Loo Hui Phang which follows an exploration into the territories of the west of Mississippi as a group of three map an area they hope one day will support a new civilisation.

Mike continues his look at TV series moving into comics with the wonderful Sons of Anarchy and we have news all about the 2018 Lakes International Comic Art Festival. Yes… the news has started. Time to get all excited.
